Details about Ordering

A standard order is the a quilt consisting of 25 T-shirts. This quilt is 60 inches by 60 inches. If you don't have enough for 25 individual T-shirts I can use the fronts and backs of some of your T-shirts to make your quilt 25 shirts. I put a fleece backing of your color choice on the quilt.

Larger quilts can be made, but there is an extra cost -- $7.00 per extra squares above 25 and additional return shipping, as the larger quilts weigh more.

How to get your personalized T-shirt Quilt made:

Gather up 25 of your favorite t-shirts. Then fill out the order form and mail that along with your t-shirts to me (Kris) with a check for $195.00 ($175 + $20 for S&H) and I will then begin making your precious tees into a quilt full of memories and pride! Quilt examples are after the pictures of the stained glass.

Time frame?

Once your T-shirts arrive I will cut and lay out your quilt then send you an e-mail with a photo so you can approve or make changes to the proposed layout. After approval you can expect your quilt in approximately twelve days depending upon postal service and number of quilts that have been ordered prior to your order.

Price?

For a quilt with 25 T-shirts the cost is $175, plus the cost of shipping, $15 for a total of $190. Please send check (addressed to Kris Scott) with your 25 t-shirts and I will mail your MemorTee Quilt to you when it's complete! Remember, if you would like a quilt larger than 25 T-shirts, the cost is $7 extra per square, plus some additional shipping, depending on how large the quilt is. I would be able to let you know the extra shipping costs after the quilt has been made.

New medium that have I started working with --- Stained Glass windows and 8" x 8" lighted glass construction blocks. Blocks are perfect as designer accent pieces or as nightlights. This stained glass is not the usual caned or foiled stained glass, but rather a unique method I discovered from my sister in Nebraska.

Price of the windows depends on the size and the complexity of the design. Range of prices for windows is $225 to $350 plus shipping and handling, if that is required. Price for S&H is determined by the size of the window and location to which it is being shipped.

Price for the decorative blocks is $55 plus shipping and handling, if that is required. S&H for the blocks is usually $15.

Two Quilts Made for Our Daughters

Quilts that I recently made for two of our daughters.  One is a combination of memories from her service in the US Navy at the Naval Academy and her current affiliation with the US Army. (She went over to the "dark" side after leaving the Navy!)  Note that the Navy-Army quilt is a 5 x 6 t-shirt quilt.  The standard quilt is a 5 x 5 quilt, but within limits and if you have enough shirts, I can make quilts up to 6 x 6 t-shirts... however, that does increase the cost a little.

The other quilt is filled with memories from another daughter's (and her husband) time spent during their undergraduate / post-graduate work at Florida State University and after their marriage.  Go Seminoles!!

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

High School Graduation Quilt

Another happy customer!  This quilt is composed of T-Shirts collected from various events during high school and given to the happy graduate as a graduation present... Great idea!  Now she will have a comfy quilt to take with her to college in the fall.

It was so much fun reliving my own children's high school "careers" through this quilt.  I just loving making these memory quilts for people... it is so much fun!  Kris

Charity Golf Tournament Quilt

A quilt that I made for a charity golf tournament showing different fund raisers and sponsors used by the foundation.

A House Divided - Married Couple Quilt

Here's a recent quilt I made for two people who've been married for over 30 years.  They came from different parts of the country and met after they both graduated from college.  They've managed to stay married and in love through the years despite their differences in school allegiance!  I guess the saying is true that marriage is about compromise!

Suggestions please....

I will be the first to admit that I am most definitely a novice when it comes to starting a business. So when people starting suggesting that I make a business out of this t-shirt quilt idea, it seemed like way more than I wanted to take on. But with the help of my family and some amazing friends, it looks like MemorTee Quilts is no longer a far off dream, but a reality! (a special Thanks to Shalimar Brazier from Momentum International, for the awesome graphic artwork!)

As I pursue this path, there will undoubtedly be a few bumps and kinks to work out. We have come up with a new ordering process and I am soliciting for feedback from you! What would make the ordering process easier and more streamlined? It's my goal to make this easy for you and in the end have a beautiful product that holds some of your most precious memories!

Thank you in advance!!
